With the season coming to a close, we find ourselves in a similar spot with teams battling it out for different spots still available. And for the first time in who knows how many years, it will not be the same 4 teams representing England in the Champions League. Not only that, the fight for the Europa League spots seem to be very interesting too. |

This last week has been a disappointing week for Manchester United fans out there. After the loss to Chelsea and failure to progress to the semifinals of the Champions League, we really needed pick-me-up and bounce back. Blackburn seemed like a good chance to do this. But they proved, like they did against Chelsea a few weeks back, that they are damn resilient. |

Promoted Championship teams entering the Premier League transition in different ways. Some settle straight away and show why they belong in the league. Others take longer and end up struggling to survive, battling in the relegation flight. Then there are the special cases: teams that surprise everyone and do extremely well with relegation not even a factor to consider during their first season; or conversely they are completely out of their league and winning is not a realistic goal. |

Throughout the history of football, there has always been players that seem impervious to harm, hurling themselves at all sorts of challenges with no regard for personal safety (or the safety of the opposition for that matter). This years batch of players are no different. The premiership being the most physical league in the world (citation?) means that tough guys from all over congregate and compete to see who dishes out the most pain. |

The best Premier league for years As the end of the season approaches, teams begin to reach a state of desperation. Whether to avoid relegation or to claim that all important final place in Europe, it seems that every game left is a must win game. On top of this, we still have the final of some cup competitions to go. All in all, it makes for an exciting end to the years football. |

It’s time to move on Whenever someone mentions Cristiano Ronaldo, a few things come to mind: his feet, his theatrics and the number 75. 75. That’s the number of millions that Real Madrid are apparently willing to offer in exchange for Ronnie’s services. The question that comes to mind, especially for a United supporter, is whether we should sell him for the 75 million pounds? |
