Last night’s jubilation of Fulham’s win over Hamburg undoubtedly went long into the night in South-West London. However it’s not just fans of the Cottagers who should be celebrating this morning, but fans of every aspiring bottom-half Premier League and Championship team alike. Because what Fulham did last night gave hope to the rest of us that anything is possible if stick to a simple and cost-effective business plan |

My boyfriend thinks Newcastle will finish in the top ten next season. I think he’s a lunatic. And I’ll happily take fifty quid from him next May after he loses that bet. |

Man City have been given special permission to bring in Martin Fulop on loan until the end of the season to cover their goalkeeping injury crisis. Why exactly has this been sanctioned? They got themselves into a mess and they are now being bailed out with the chance to sign a keeper with Premier League experience just because they didn’t have anyone else in place. |
| The Worst Premier League Season Ever? |

Has this season been the worst ever for quality and consistency, I think so. I haven’t known a season which has been so unpredictable, there has been more twists and turns in the title race this year than I care to remember. Arsenal looked like strong contenders and this was despite losing to Chelsea and Man Utd home and away. Alex Ferguson ruled out Manchester United for the title after drawing at Blackburn recently but then Chelsea losing to Spurs put Man United back in with a shout. Chelsea have put 7 goals past three different teams this season in Sunderland, Aston Villa and Stoke yet I have not been that impressed with Chelsea this season, they don’t excite me and play very rigid. |

With the season coming to a close, we find ourselves in a similar spot with teams battling it out for different spots still available. And for the first time in who knows how many years, it will not be the same 4 teams representing England in the Champions League. Not only that, the fight for the Europa League spots seem to be very interesting too. |

Now I’m as optimistic as anyone when it comes to this twat of a football club, but after this afternoon’s latest capitulation it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee – we’re f***ked. Down. Goners. Non-league. To be honest I didn’t know how it would affect me, it’s not like it hasn’t been coming, but tonight I just feel absolutely deflated. Absolutely f**king devastated. |
