February 26th, 2010 at 4:29 pm by Keith O'Connell

So the latest instalment of this car crash of a footballing soap opera has come to pass. In the aftermath of the scintillating and sordid airing of John Terry’s dirty laundry to the general public at large (why can he just wipe it on the curtains like everyone else?) we are told that Wayne Bridge is still devastated at the betrayal dealt to him by his former “Best Friend”.

The Premier League, however, saw fit to simply fine Wolverhampton Wanderers for unsporting conduct (with respect to their fielding of a severely weakened team against Manchester United in December in order to rest players for a vital match against Burnley later that week) in the same way that they decided that West Ham United should face a fine alone for their misleading over the registration of Carlos Tevez.

Fair play, Yossi Benayoun
February 22nd, 2010 at 11:00 am by Keith O'Connell

Just watching Match of the Day 2, trying to wring every drop out of the weekend before the onset of the new week, and I’m on the verge of sleep as Man City and Liverpool cancel each other out on the way to what was a largely uninspiring and insipid 0-0 draw.
