Can Arsenal cope without RVP?

Arsenal forward Robin Van Persie will miss the rest of the season after finding out he will need an operation on his injured ankle ligaments. The 26 year old Dutchman was initially expected to be out for six weeks. However, scans have revealed the injury is worse than originally feared.

Sing Along – Part 2

Last season, I wrote a piece that attributed a song to each Premier League team that reflected their current status or something that was going on at the club at the time. At the risk of going over old ground, I thought I would update the songs for the teams in this years Premiership with my current musings. Just to give you a flavour of some of my songs from last year we had Blowin’ in the Wind for Hull’s chances of staying up, Stoke were Livin’ on a Prayer and Bolton had the Ramones, I wanna be sedated! Well at least I was right about Bolton! Here we go again pop pickers.

FIFA emergency meeting – what’s it about?

My mind isn’t where it should be at work, so I have let it wander towards considering what on earth those bigwigs will want to talk about, and the implications it might have for the beautiful game.

If Fiorentina beat Lyon at then Britain’s most successful club in Europe will be out of the celebrated competition, and into the Europa League they will go. Teams with history such as Liverpool are not used to Thursday night football, but they will have to adapt quickly if they are to salvage something this season.
