Rovers return to football for McClown? The umbrella man is back and Blackburn fans are praying his ginger ego doesn’t land on their door step. McClown admitted he is interested in taking over from Mark Hughes at Blackburn after what he describes as a “huge failure” as the England manager. He became one of the national teams worst managers statically with what can only be described as a dreadful qualifying campaign.
McClown hasn’t worked since but surprisingly enough he has been linked with Dutch club FC Twente, McClown told BBC Radio 5 Live he would consider Ewood Park following Hughes’ move to Eastlands. “Of course that would interest me,” said the former Middlesbrough manager. “Unfortunately what happened with England was a huge failure but I want to get back into management.”
McClown conceded that no contact has been made from Blackburn but he is very interested in the position. With the former Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce and MK Dons manager Paul Ince also being linked with the job McClown would surely be the idea candidate to fill the Guvnors shoes at the MK stadium.
