Eighteen months and 12 qualifying games have passed since the FA last appointed an England manager. I would love to say it was a brilliant, successful appointment but I cannot. I would love to say the FA went out and made sure we got the right man for the job, I cannot. |

| Foreign players, where do you stand? |

There’s a major issue at the moment with the talk of limiting the number of foreign players playing in English football. Personally, I would rather see home grown players who support the club coming through the ranks. |

The winning horse this week though, will be wearing the claret and blue of West Ham and nudging the West End Chelsea boys into 2nd place by a nose (even if it is Avram’s conk.) |

So McClaren has finally gone, though it took the reality of a barren summer for all of us before the FA would wield the axe. We all knew he wasn’t up to the job from the start, but as usual the FA thought they knew better, and now the price has been paid. |

A website has been launched that “will change the face of amateur football for good”. Not my words but the words of Talk sport presenter, Rhodri Williams. UK football finder has been launched to bring together football players and football teams. It’s like an online transfer system. |
